Augh!
Apple released a new version of their
Safari browser. The last release they fixed a
issue prevalent in most KHTML and Gecko-based browsers. With this latest release the problem is back. I’m submitting a bug to them now.
I can’t take this snow! Just enough that I have to shovel it, but not enough to have some fun with a sled. Arg!

Still no luck with my monitor. There’s no fuse to be found inside. I’ll plug it in and try it again. I’m guessing it’s a gonner. Anybody know where I can get an Apple monitor with an ADC (Apple Display Connector)? Let me know.
We’re still in the middle of a production push at work. It’s started at 3 am. It was supposed to be done at least 2 hours ago. The difference between frontend and backend developers is that people
see it when frontend developers screw up. When a backend developer botches their code, it can run for days without any real indication of the error, then, all of a sudden… poof… site’s down. (Or like today, it takes an hour to start each instance of the application.) It probably doesn’t help that our developers have little time to code, let alone test. Eventually this is going to catch up with us and bite us on the ass.

News is still rolling in about the loss of
STS-107. I’m a little shaken by all of this, especially so soon after the anniversary of the Shuttle Challenger Tragedy. I’m suprised
Brad is keeping it together so well. He tends to freak out about stuff like this.
Gina got her new Powerbook Ti. We now have matching computers (and cars). Sick. In unrelated news, the monitor (ADC 17″ digital CRT) connected to my Mac desktop puked this weekend. I’ll check the fuse tonight. If that’s all that’s wrong I’ll be happy. Otherwise, I’m looking at the purchase of a new digital (ADC) display. Feh.

Awesome… if I were an OS I would be…
It’s nice to have the server done and my homepage nearing completion. Ahhhh. Next I’ll be working on a site design for a friend’s new company and Gina’s homepage.

We went to the
Sno*Drift Rally last weekend. It was awesome. Cold, but awesome. There are
photos available.
Work is crazy. We’ve decided to make our own content managment system. Since there’s a very limited schedule, we’re sticking with XSLT, which the rest of our site is based on, and there’s no learning curve. However, XSLT was never intended for this, and hence… sucks. We’ll probably convert it to either JSP or php5 in 6 to 9 months.
