Am I crazy or is
InfoWorld becoming a lot more Mac-friendly? Nearly every week,
Tom Yager‘s column oozes praise for my platform of choice. I can’t say I disagree,
recent experience with anything
Apple has been
enlightening, to say the least.
Gina and I went camping with her parents this weekend. We had a ton of fun. A little rain, a little thunder, but our mega-tent kept us dry. I met my “sucking at miniature golf” quota for the summer.
Kacey had a lot of fun, but chewed up a set up blinds in Gina’s parent’s camper. We’ll take care of that ASAP, btw. Next step is to restore the pop-up camper that my parents are giving to us.

The developer “most likely to go postal when fired”, just got fired. I understand the reasons. Her work ethic, personality, and skill all left a
lot to be desired. But, sheesh… I’d like to live to see my 28th birthday! My guess is she’s more likely to take us out one at a time with her minivan than with a firearm. Especially since she couldn’t even figure out how to use a softball bat… and she drives like a blind crack addict prone to seizures and blackouts.

A few
news updates ago, I mentioned the nightmare I went through trying to replace my digital CRT. Well, I got screwed. The ebayer (bluecore) never sent the insurance check from UPS. I ended up buying a refurb monitor from
MegaMacs… for $100 less than the monitor that arrived in pieces.
Also,
iChatAV rocks. I just tried it as I’m typing this. Headphones and/or a mic are recommended.

Good googley-moogley. Apple has just announced the new
G5. It’s sexy. Up to dual-200GHz processors, 8 gigs of ram, 1 GHz per-processor front-side bus. Aluminum enclosure with headphone, USB 2, Firewire 400 on the front. Optical digital audio in and out on the back with firewire 800, more USB 2, gig ethernet… and a lot more. I wonder how much my spleen is worth on the black market.
This coming weekend is race 3 at
Waterford Hills. Come on out and see us stomp the competition.

Rogerbox went through a lot of changes in the last year. One of the founding members left to deal with his increasingly busy life. Keith moved from behind the drums to play more guitar as well as sing backup. We got a new drummer… that didn’t work out. Then, we decided to have actual auditions for a drummer. After
dozens of try-outs, we found a great musician, Eric, that lives in the area. Eric is dedicated, talented, and easy to get along with. So, the current lineup is:
-Gina: Vocals
-Keith: Guitar, Vocals
-Chris: Bass, Vocals
-Eric: Drums
-Duane: Guitar
We should be playing a show at the I-Rock (in Detroit) in a few weeks. Stay tuned…
