I’ve finally hooked up one of the cameras at our new house. It points our my office window on the second floor into the front yard. You can’t see much, but it’s a start.

I’ve added a bit of logic to break the news info page into 10-record chunks. You can still get the whole news update page by clicking on the “View All” link at the top.

I like Google… a lot. I use their maps, their stats, and just about eveerything else they give away. I’ve recently added Google AdSense. The ads you see on the site should be related to the content on the site.

Leechers beware. If you try to leech images from my site, you might get a nasty surprise! Some unfortunate myspace.com users thought it would be nice to steal images of Steve-O, Surfers, and Gorillas… now they’re seeing a nasty mod_rewrite trick: Link not for the faint of heart…

The moblog now creates a latest image thumbnail on the fly. This was needed as my new Treo 650 does not capture picture below 320×200. So, I figured I would moblog at 640×480, and store a thumbnail on the local server for fast display in the moblog module. The moblog checks if the date of the RSS is newer than that of the thumbnail. If so, it updates the thumbnail from the latest image in the Flickr XML. Speaking of XML, the old RSS parser that I was useing was TEH SUCK. So, I’ve switched to one that I wrote a while back. It converts XML into nice PHP arrays. I’ll be converting the moblog page to one of my own design when time allows.
